Shreeya Patel
Associate Director of Learning and Development
What I do at MMR Research
I lead the global learning and capability strategy, building high-impact development programmes that drive performance, commercial growth and leadership excellence.
I partner with senior leaders to translate business strategy into practical, scalable learning journeys across all career stages. My remit spans leadership development, commercial capability, digital learning, AI-enabled solutions and the company-wide career framework.
My focus is on building a high-performance learning culture where development is embedded into day-to-day work and delivers measurable business impact.
Why MMR Research
I’ve been at MMR for nine+ years because it’s a genuinely great place to work. The people are smart, supportive and professional, the culture is positive and respectful, and everyone takes pride in doing great work. It’s a well-run organisation where your contribution is valued and you’re trusted to do your job well.
Who am I?
I started my career in Sensory Science, but quickly realised that while I loved the technical side of research, what truly motivated me was developing people. My journey has taken me from Consumer Scientist to client leader, and ultimately into Learning and Development - where I now lead global capability and leadership programmes.
I came into L&D without a traditional background, but with a deep passion for growth, performance and potential. Supporting the development of a modern learning function from the ground up has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my career, and seeing our onboarding programme recognised as a finalist at the 2026 Learning Awards remains a huge point of pride.
At heart, I am driven by one thing: helping people become the best version of themselves.
Advice for prospective candidates
Be yourself, be prepared, and be curious.
We’re not looking for people who know everything already - we’re looking for people who care about doing a good job, take pride in their work, and are willing to learn. So come ready to talk about what motivates you, what you’re good at, and what you enjoy doing.
Take a bit of time to understand MMR, the work we do and the clients we support. You don’t need to be an expert, but showing that you’ve done your homework always stands out.
Be honest about what you’re looking for in your next role. We want people who genuinely want to be here and who see this as a good fit for where they are in their career.
And finally, ask questions. We love curious minds. An interview should feel like a two-way conversation - it’s just as much about you getting to know us as it is about us getting to know you.
